As a unique product by Spicers Retreats, The Scenic Rim Trail is one of the "Great Walks" of Australia and offers guided walks through the stunning mountains, escarpments, forests and ancient volcanic plateaus of one of Australia's most remarkable regions. As the General Manager you will be responsible for the management of this diverse product and the operation of Scenic Rim Trail accommodation sites including Spicers Canopy.
Spicers Canopy is luxury camping at its very best. Surrounded by 5,000 acres of private natural refuge, Spicers Canopy is an unrivalled eco-tourism experience less than 2 hours' drive from Brisbane. Along with Spicers Canopy you will be responsible for luxury cabins that are used by the Scenic Rim Trail walks and mountain bike products.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the delivering budgeted growth, revenue and profit targets; achieving a high level of guest satisfaction; developing and implementing product strategy; team management and ensuring the quality of day to day operations.
This is an eco tourism product. You must have a genuine interest in: the environment; outdoor activities especially walking and mountain biking; delivering an exception level of guest experience; managing a unique hospitality operation.
You will need:
- a minimum of three years hospitality operations management experience
- strong business acumen
- experience managing P&L, COGS, expenses
- strong team management experience
- excellent communication skills
- a proactive approach and positive attitude
This role will be located on property approximately 2 hours west of Brisbane. Accommodation will be provided as part of the remuneration package.
