About Us:

Spicers Retreats boasts a collection of spectacular, award winning properties set in multiple locations throughout South East Queensland and New South Wales.  Our luxury retreats are notorious for providing an unforgettable experience complete with gourmet cuisine, attentive service and refined comfort. 

Spicers Potts Point, our stylish new property, features 20 rooms, an in-house bar and gorgeous courtyard area.  The property is spread across three heritage-listed terrace houses in the tree-lined Victoria Street.  Spicers Potts Point is our ninth property, our third in New South Wales and places the best that Sydney has to offer at our guests’ doorstep.

To be considered for this role, you will also have:

  • Significant hands-on experience managing a luxury property;
  • A passion for good food and wine and providing bespoke experiences for guests;
  • Strong business acumen;
  • Experience managing P&L, COGS, expenses; 
  • Strong team management experience – the ability to drive and manage performance;
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written;
  • A proactive approach and positive attitude;
  • Willingness to work weekends and evenings as required;
  • A current RSA or RMLV;
  • .… and most importantly, a genuine passion for ‘everything hospitality’ – good food, great wine and awesome experiences!

 

About the Role:

As the General Manager of Spicers Potts Point, you will be a hands-on host who delights in providing guests with bespoke experiences. Engaging and driving your team to ensure seamless operations will be integral to delivering an exceptional guest experience – each and every time. 

Reporting to the Managing Director of the Spicers Group, you will be responsible for the overall management of the property; developing and implementing business strategy; and delivering budgeted growth, revenue and profit targets.  Key to this is developing a strong and committed team who are able to consistently provide a high standard of service and hospitality.
