The opportunity:
As the Head Chef, you will be leading a small, multi-skilled team and it is expected that you will lead by example to ensure the overall guest experience continues to exceed expectations. Your responsibility will be for the delivery of all food experiences for the property including: restaurant; bar; functions and events. Responsible for consistently providing a quality and profitable dining experience in line with the vision of the restaurant and as a key member of the management team, you will work closely with the General Manager, Executive Chef and other Heads of Department to ensure the overall success of your team and the retreat.

We are looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead one of our restaurants specializing in Modern Asian/ Vietnamese Cuisine in New Farm, Brisbane. Reporting to the Executive Chef you will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the kitchen whilst delivering an 'industry best' dining experience for our inhouse and external guests. Ideally, you will have experience in the following areas:
- Experience working hands on in 'hatted' restaurant
- Experience in Asian Cuisine
- Ability to run the kitchen as your own
- Experience in designing creative, innovative and award-winning menus
- A solid knowledge of the current local market and trends
- A proven track record of sourcing and producing the highest quality of food
- A good level of financial acumen
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a small team environment
- A commitment to leading, training and developing a team
- A strong guest focus
