The Location:

Situated within Spicers Vineyards Estate is the award winning Restaurant Botanica that provides our in-house guests with an intimate and relaxed fine dining experience. Our ever-changing menu is inspired by fresh, organic, seasonal produce sourced locally from farmers and producers within our community. Our kitchen team believes in hearty food, full of flavour, colour and a touch of spice. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Commis Chef to join the kitchen team on a full-time basis.

The opportunity:

To be successful in this role, you will be an enthusiastic, passionate and ambitious Chef. You will have confidence in your culinary skill set but also the willingness to take feedback and try new things. Your responsibility will be for the delivery of all food experiences for the property including: restaurant; in-room dining; functions and events.

Some of your duties will include:

• Assist with the preparation and delivery of creative and contemporary meals;
• Provide assistance with kitchen operations;
• Manage wastage and portion control effectively;
• Assist with ensuring all hygiene and WHS requirements.

• Relevant qualifications;
• Proven passion for the industry and ambition to represent an award winning restaurant
