The opportunity:
As the Gardener of Spicers Hidden Vale, you reporting to the General Manager and the Grounds and Maintenance Manager of Spicers Hidden Vale. You will be responsible for ensuring the property is maintained “as new” and to the highest quality standard that Spicers’ properties are renowned for. Duties will range from managing the upkeep of the property’s lawns, gardens and general outdoor areas and facilities, as well as the day to day maintenance tasks. This role is suited to a landscaping professional who also has the initiative to assess general repair issues and work with suppliers to maintain the property. You will also be required to assist with events, helping with set up and pack down.

To be considered for this role, you will also have:
- Experience working within a grounds/horticulture/landscaping role;
- The ability to work effectively on your own and as part of a team;
- A good eye for detail and pride in your work;
- The ability to manage time and tasks working within the needs of the business;
- Lawn and garden maintenance experience with the ability to operate garden machinery (ride on mower, whipper snipper, hedge trimmer, chain saw);
- Basic handyperson knowledge;
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written;
- A proactive approach and positive attitude;
- Willingness to work weekends and evenings as required;
- .… and most importantly, a genuine passion for ‘everything hospitality’ – good food, great wine and awesome experiences!
