The opportunity:

With a well-earned reputation for innovative dining experiences, The Long Apron is a Chef Hatted restaurant on the Sunshine Coast.  The Long Apron Restaurant is seeking a Fulltime Sous Chef to join the team set within the five-star luxury Spicers Clovelly Estate. Working in our kitchen team and lead by Chris Hagan, Head Chef, your primary focus will be to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our guests whilst growing your career in an inspiring environment.

  • experience working in a similar establishment (fine dining, a la carte, hatted restaurant)

  • a passion for cooking and an interest in keeping abreast of latest trends and innovations
  • an emphasis on quality and pride in your work
  • a great work ethic and team player
  • commitment, reliability and determination.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Support the Head Chef to develop creative and contemporary menus;
  • Assist the Head Chef with kitchen operations;
  • Coach and lead the kitchen team to increase skill level and ensure the delivery of high quality
