The opportunity
Spicers Sangoma Retreat has a Fulltime opportunity available for a Head Chef to join our passionate team. This is a perfect opportunity for an experienced Chef seeking to progress their career to the next level. Working within a supportive and fun environment, you will play an integral role in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
About You
Spicers Retreats greatly value dedicated hospitality professionals who demonstrate a generosity of spirit. We seek committed and passionate talent who demonstrate our core values of Happy, Humble and Smart! Apart from your contagious passion for cooking, your willingness to learn and your commitment to providing an outstanding dining experience, to be successful in this role you will have:
- Qualifications in commercial cookery
- Solid experience working in a similar restaurant environment
- Good eye for detail and pride in what you plate and present
- Ability to follow direction yet still work autonomously when needed
- You will require a high level of energy and enthusiasm to keep up with our young and fast paced team
- The ability to work effectively within and lead a team;
- A strong work ethic and commitment to performing your best work every shift;
- Enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written;
- A proactive approach and positive attitude;
- Willingness to work weekends
- and most importantly, a genuine passion for ‘everything hospitality’ – good food, great wine and awesome experiences!
