About Spicers Peak Lodge:
Perched atop a mountain on 8,000 acres in Queensland high country and just 90 minutes drive from Brisbane CBD, Spicers Peak Lodge offers an exclusive, intimate Australian wilderness lodge experience. The Lodge sits 1,100 metres above sea level with views across to the surrounding peaks. About the role:
Reporting to the General Manager of Spicers Peak Lodge, Martin Hamilton, you will be responsible for ensuring the property is maintained “as new” and to the highest quality standard that Spicers’ properties are renowned for. This role is suited to a hands on, experienced professional who also has the initiative to assess general repair issues and work with suppliers to maintain the property.
Duties:
- Attending to maintenance requests in a timely manner to ensure our guests have an enjoyable stay with us (for example changing light bulbs, fixing leaking taps)
- Undertaking general repairs and maintenance across the property, including maintaining lawns, the lodge itself, pools and gardens;
- Working with and managing on-site contractors as required.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Trade Qualification (Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry) will be highly regarded;
- Previous experience in a maintenance role at hotel or resort (desirable);
- At a minimum - basic electrical, carpentry, plumbing and paintwork skills;
- Ability to work autonomously and manage own workload.
