About the role:

Now into our 2nd year as Spicers Guesthouse, we are experiencing a growth in our occupancy, resulting in a need for this newly created management position. Our new housekeeping manager will be responsible for improving efficiency in our housekeeping department and delivering the Spicers quality accommodation experience to our guests.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Room servicing and check-out cleans on a daily basis;
  • Cleaning indoor and outdoor common areas including the restaurant;
  • Allocating and ensuring the completion of the daily schedule of tasks;
  • Monitoring the performance and increasing productivity of the housekeeping team;
  • Planning housekeeping rosters in accordance with wage targets and hotel occupancy;
  • Conducting inspections to monitor cleanliness of rooms and public areas.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Availability and willingness to work weekends and commence work at 6am;
  • Previous housekeeping department management experience;
  • A willingness to alternate between management duties and housekeeping duties;
  • A strong work ethic, organisation skills and commitment to high standards.
